Mediwat annual career talk and workshop 2026
To spark interest in ICT careers, Mediwat annually organizes a career talk and workshop. These sessions provided valuable insights into the diverse possibilities within this dynamic field and highlighted the increasing importance of ICT in education.
FON and Mediwat Computer Science School prioritizes supporting orphans and underprivileged students on the cusp of entering higher education. This year, five secondary schools were selected:
- Sabuwar Kofa Senior Secondary School, Kano
- Government Secondary School Sharada, Kano
- Al Abbas College, Sharada
- Government Girl’s Secondary School, Sharada, Kano
- Government Girl’s Secondary School, S/Gida Ja’en
We are delighted to announce the annual “Career Guidance on the Information Technology Profession” hosted by Mediwat Computer Science School. This year, in line with our tradition, we will once again be extending invitations to SS3 students from public secondary schools in Kano State.
Our initiative entails visiting each chosen secondary school to deliver lectures and presentations aimed at fostering interest and understanding in the field of information technology. Subsequently, we will identify and select 10 outstanding students from each school to participate in a scholarship program.
It is for this reason that I write to sought for your approval to conduct this program covering the following topics.
- Importance of IT in Education
- Exploring current IT Trends and Development
- Developing Digital Literacy Skills
